FAQs

Below are a few helpful details for our wedding weekend. We’ll continue to keep the FAQs updated as additional questions come up!
Question

When should I arrive for the wedding weekend?

Answer

We know a Monday wedding asks a bit more of you, and we truly appreciate it 🤍 Please feel free to plan the weekend in whatever way works best for you. The Schedule tab on our website will be updated with the latest locations and timing for meet-ups, so feel free to check back as the weekend gets closer.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration unless otherwise noted on your invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail is perfect! For women, think midi or maxi dresses, and for men, dress shirts with slacks, jackets, or suits. No jeans, please. While the weather should be beautiful, it can get chilly later in the evening, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap to stay warm and comfortable as we move between spaces throughout the night.

Question

What does the wedding day timeline look like?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM on Monday, and we ask guests to arrive by 4:00 PM so we can start on time. Following the ceremony, we’ll have a cocktail hour and then settle in for dinner and speeches around 6 p.m. We’re keeping things intimate and low-key (no dance floor party), but for anyone who isn’t ready to call it a night after dinner, we may hang back for a causal drink at Tom Ham's or the hotel bar after. For those heading out that evening, the venue is conveniently close to the airport and freeway for an easy trip back to reality ✈️

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

While we didn’t reserve a formal room block, there are several great hotel options near the venue. Please check out the Lodging page on our website for recommendations and details. We recommend an Airbnb if you prefer to stay with a larger group and/or save on lodging costs.

Question

What if I can’t make it?

Answer

We completely understand and will absolutely feel your love from afar 🤍 Just make sure to fill out your RSVP before September 1st so we know if you'll be there in spirit.

Question

Are you registered for gifts?

Answer

Your presence is truly the best gift to us. If you feel inclined to give, we will have the option to contribute to our honeymoon fund. We appreciate you making our forever so special!

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Not at all! Everything for the wedding is conveniently located near the airport, so getting around is very easy with Ubers/Lyfts as well as the free airport shuttles provided by nearby hotels. If you do choose to rent a car or drive, Tom Ham's Lighthouse offers complimentary parking for guests during our wedding.

Question

Are you providing transportation to the venue?

Answer

While we are unable to provide official wedding transportation, Tom Ham’s Lighthouse is conveniently located on Harbor Island and is within walking distance from both the Hilton and Sheraton. Both hotels also offer complimentary transportation options for guests. The Hilton provides a free shuttle throughout Harbor Island, and the Sheraton offers transportation via golf cart for up to 4 guests at a time. Please note that these rides are based on availability and are NOT guaranteed, so we recommend planning ahead and arriving early if you’d like to use them. For guests hoping to use the Hilton shuttle to Tom Ham’s, please arrive at the Hilton lobby by 3:30 PM to request a ride. Guests do not need to be staying at the Hilton to use the shuttle to the venue; proof of stay is ONLY required for airport transportation.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only the guests formally invited on your invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one they will appear when you RSVP.
