When your mom sets you up on a date with someone she works with, it can either go really well or disastrous. In this case Alicia and Austin hit the lotto. Twelve years later they managed to get through traveling airports together, arguing over board games, surviving a pandemic, moving twice and most importantly raising three wonderful boys together. In July of 2024, while on an Alaskan Cruise at a family dinner Austin proposed in front of an entire restaurant. Alicia was shocked, filled with joy, and also so relieved that she would be getting married before having to walk down the aisle with a walker. I guess Austin was thinking slow and steady wins the race. Through all the chaos of life, they always choose each other and can’t wait to continue their for forever and many, many more bike rides.
