When should I RSVP by?

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend that guests arrive 15 minutes or so before the official ceremony start time so they can get settled before the proceedings. With the Chicago Marathon happening that weekend, there will be many road closures throughout the city for the marathon path, so please plan ahead to allow ample travel time.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail, please. Think suits and ties, gowns and party dresses, we want you to feel elegant yet comfortable. We encourage black, dark emerald, and fall colors.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration, as our venue is not particularly suitable for children. We hope this will allow you a much-deserved night off to celebrate with us!

Is parking available? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Parking will primarily be street parking. We will have a small number of spots available in the lot for family, then first come, first serve. We suggest carpooling or scheduling a ride through Lyft or Uber ahead of time, as we will not have a shuttle service available.

Will there be vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free food options?

Answer

Yes! We will have a taco bar and will be sure to accommodate all guests. Please make sure to mention your preferred options in your RSVP so that we can order accordingly.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We love photos! However, we do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, we’d like that time to be unplugged. For the rest of the wedding, we encourage guests to post pictures using our wedding hashtag #alfonsieverafter so we can see them too!
