Bride
Half Puerto Rican, Half Dominican. Plant mom. Novice knitter. Cat mom of 3 kitties; Oliver, Penelope, and NolaJazz.
Groom
Banjo man. Baseball fan. Cat dad of 3. Might talk about Trader Joe’s at least once in every conversation (so does Alicia).
Maid of Honor
Shada and I met at our college orientation, happened to be suite mates, and then became roommates. We kept in touch after I left school. We developed a bond full of laughs and respect after that. She is truly the greatest friend a girl can have.
Best Man
While Remy and I first became friends in college playing Street Fighter 4, our friendship truly blossomed in post graduate life. Despite a long distance between us, we always make time for each other to stay connected and present in each others lives. We can (and do) talk on the phone for literal hours.
Bridesmaid
I met Pang when we invited her to my birthday dinner one year when she was starting to date, her now husband, Domenico. She was so lovely and fun. We have been friends ever since. She’s also my knitting buddy.
Groomsman
Perhaps my longest (and silliest) friendship. Domenico and I are always trying to make each other laugh, and constantly annoy our respective partners with our near constant giggling to each other over dumb jokes from the internet. I don’t see this changing any time soon.
Bridesmaid
Pamela is a long time friend of Shaday and then we became friends too. We bonded over our love of food and music and endless chatting about teaching and childcare. The four of us (Shaday, Pang, Pamela, and, I) are unstoppable.
Groomsman
Perhaps my best friend during our college years together, after meeting Jeff I was instantly enamored with his wit, creativity, and his steadfast refusal to ever stop joking around. “Commit to the bit” became almost like a mantra for our friendship, and we quickly established an unbreakable bond hidden under incalculable layers of sarcasm and irony. Jeff and I eventually lived together in college, and that went exactly as one would expect.
Bridesmaid
Roxxy. The coolest punk performer that I have ever seen. Like, have you seen her??!! Soon to be sister in law and so happy for her to be part of the wedding party.
Groomsman
My friendship with Kris was forged in the chaotic fires of a grocery store basement, and shaped into what it is today through entirely too many late night beers and The Greatest Baseball Summer of our lives. Kris is one of the smartest, hardest working, and honest men I’ve ever known, and my life would not be the same without him.
Officiant
Ethan’s Story While Alden and I technically met on the playground as young children, we really became good friends in early high school. What started as a friendship based mostly around video games and Dungeons & Dragons has blossomed into one based around…. Video games and Dungeons & Dragons. Hey, if it ain’t broke, am I right?? Alicia’s Story I met Alden during the early weeks of dating Ethan. I think it was a test to see if I was keeper. I got a chance to meet someone who not only has the coolest voice but had a way telling stories. Our friendship grew even more when we worked in the same store together. Especially, when he would pop up out of nowhere and telling terrible punny jokes.
