We're so excited for our future! How we got here is nothing short of divine intervention and a real fairytale story. Alicha's story: I wasn't looking for anyone. I wasn't sure I wanted to date, but a mutual friend of ours insisted that I meet Kristyn. After several asks, I finally gave in and thought "I'll go meet her, my friend will be happy, and then I can go on with my life and never have to see her again." So I met Kristyn. And it was like we had always known each other. We started talking, but I really knew she was special when I had a work trip to California. My flight was delayed, and Kristyn knew I had a rough trip. When I arrived at my room, she had called ahead and ordered coffee to my room with a flower and a personal note. Her thoughtfulness and kindness are what continue to draw me to her. She is selfless in all ways, honoring God, loving her family, sacrificing for her friends. I'm so glad I get to call her mine. Kristyn: Six months before we met, an acquaintance, told me about an open paralegal position at Gentry Locke, working with Alicha. I did some investigation and knew I couldn’t work for her ;) Then I forgot about her. Those six months passed, and the same person that mentioned the job, told me how badly Alicha wanted to meet me. As it turns out, Alicha didn’t even know who I was. We met at Parkway Brewing, and had dinner after where she told me her entire life story. I wasn’t too sure about dating this quirky girl. But on the second date, I saw how determined, ambitious and put-together she was, though her Salsa dancing skills were lacking. After that second date, I called my friends and told them she could be the one. In getting to know her, I realized how incredible of a person she is. She is smart and level-headed, aspirational and inspirational. But most of all I saw how much of a cute dork she is. And I knew I wanted to spend my life with her.
