On this day, I was introduced to a widow of 20 years, by my sister, Myra. Our meeting was cordial. She was short and beautiful, and I thought to myself "she might be too short for me". 7:30 that evening on my way back home to Elberton, GA, I was stuck in traffic, which slowed me down enough to hear from God. While I was fussing to myself about being stuck in traffic, the Holy Spirit quietly spoke saying " you just met your wife." I was startled - What? Faye is my wife? Amen! At 1:30am, Monday morning, I found Faye teaching the Word on The Praising Place Facebook page. As I listened to her teach, hearing her only further confirmed that she was my wife! I sent her a friend request on Facebook, which she accepted. On May 5, 2025 we spoke on the phone for the first time. That went on for about 19+ days before we finally met up at Boardwalk Billy's on a Friday evening. On that Saturday, we were invited to a coffee shop in Concord, NC to hear Jasmine, of The Praising Place, sing. On July 18, 2025 I proposed to Faye at Boardwalk Billy's. We are now emerging into God's planned purpose of love for us, unto assurance. Now we anticipate that Glorious Day, May 23, 2026, that we stand before God, family, and friends, to make our eternal commitment to one another, in Christ as one. Amen!
