Travel Note
Church Location
Our ceremony will be taking place at Fornham All Saints Church. The church is located in the centre of Fornham All Saints village. This is a 10 minute drive just outside of the large town of Bury Saint Edmunds. It is a 5 minute drive from Hengrave Hall and a few minute drive or 10 minute walk from All Saints Hotel. Please use nearby Forge End or Pigeon Lane residential roads, where you will find on street parking. These roads will get very busy, so please arrive with plenty of time to find somewhere to park. There is also the Three Kings Pub a few mins walk away, should you require a pre ceremony drink! This also has a small car park next to it.
Travel Note
Reception Location
Our wedding reception will be taking place at Hengrave Hall. Please make your own travel arrangements from the church to Hengrave. It is a 5 minute drive but is not suitable for walking. You will need to take the Mere Lane entrance to Hengrave Hall, Sat Navs may direct you to the Bury Road (A1101) entrance, so please ignore this and follow these instructions: As you leave the church, please drive along the B1106 towards the Three Kings pub and turn right at the roundabout down the A1101 (past the pub) and take the first left turning down Mere Lane (this is a narrow country lane), then take the first right turning into Henrgave Hall, where you will travel down a long driveway and be signposted towards the car park. Cars can be left at Hengrave Hall and collected by 10.30am the following day. Note that All Saints are currently in the process of expanding, so please contact them by phone if there are no rooms available online, as the new rooms will be available for sale soon! Train
If you are travelling by train
The closest station is Bury St Edmunds which is about a 10 minute drive from Hengrave Hall. To take the train from London, you will need to travel from to either Ipswich or Cambridge and take a train to Bury St Edmunds from there. Total travel time from Liverpool Street is about 1hr 50mins
Flight
If you are flying
Firstly, thank you so much for making such an effort & taking a flight for our special day The closest international airport is London Stansted which is about a 50 minute drive from Hengrave Hall or you can take a train direct from the airport to Cambridge and connect to Bury St Edmunds. Luton & Heathrow are also both within a 2 hour drive.
