OUR FIRST DATE 12.3.16 We went Ice Skating for our first date. Nick invited a group of friends to the Bushnell for some outdoor holiday skating fun. What I didn't know was that he secretly told all our friends not to come but I was still under the impression that it was a group thing. Nick being a great skater and well, me not at all decided to teach me how to skate. It was a bone chilling winter day and the park was filled with jolly kids and their families. We skated for what felt hours as we held hands so I wouldn't fall. This was also all part of Nick's master plan. He knew if I feared falling, I'd have to reach for him and he can hold me close. It was a magical day that we didn't want to end. That’s pretty much when we thought, “Okay. This could be something.” THE PROPOSAL 8.19.18 Nick planned a beautiful picnic at our favorite vineyard to enjoy great wine, food and music. After, a few hours of fun I wanted to go into the vineyard to get some photos before we took off. As we strolled to the grapes and took several selfies, I spotted a little bird stuck on the mesh protecting the grapes. I tried helping it free but it was so scared that it kept tangling worse. Nick suggested that we go and get help but I was determined to help this little bird. After several attempts with no luck, we decided to get help. As we walked back to the house, I walked ahead with a sense of urgency as Nick followed behind. Then I heard Nick say "here take this" As I turned around I looked over and he was down on one knee. I laughed uncontrollably full of nerves but nodded my head "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in 2019!
