FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Bring your most summery, bright, and fun self in Garden Party Cocktail Attire! Dresses shin length and below, and ties optional with suits.

Question

What time should I arrive on Sunday evening?

Answer

The venue will open at 7:30pm, with a welcome toast and speeches beginning right at 7:45pm!

Question

Will there be a ceremony?

Answer

We look forward to celebrating at Villanelle with our beloved friends and family! We can't wait to sign the marriage certificate, hear speeches, dance, and eat dessert with you all. We have opted for an intimate ceremony prior to our reception with only our immediate families and bridal parties.

Question

Where should I stay while in Chicago?

Answer

There are many great hotels in Chicago, but we recommend staying at an Airbnb or VRBO. They're a great way to experience a local's version of the city, and they tend to be cheaper than hotels! See more of our thoughts in the "Travel" tab above.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Because our wedding isn't starting until 7:30pm, we will leave kids' attendance up to the discretion of their parents! We love the kids in our life, so we will be thrilled if they're able to stay up past bedtime to come party with us for a bit. Please let us know if you have any questions about this! If you need help finding a sitter in Chicago for the night, please reach out and we will do our best to help with our network. If you do plan on bringing your kiddo, please be sure to RSVP for them in the tab above!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to extremely limited venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate those specifically listed on our invitations.

Question

How do I get to Villanelle?

Answer

Villanelle is accessible by car, Lyft/Uber, or the 66 bus line. The building is all black on the corner of Campbell and Chicago Avenues, with a large purple faux flower arrangement overhead. Enter through the main doors on the intersection between 7:30-7:45pm!

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

If traveling by car, we recommend taking a Lyft/Uber (approximately $10-30 each way from most neighborhoods) as parking can be limited around the venue. Street parking is occasionally available, with additional parking available to book ahead of time for $10-30 on the app SpotHero.
