John Paul: My best-friend Michael, whom is one of my best-man now, invited me to go visit Jake (our other best-friend). Little did I know, he and his girlfriend, at the time, had other plans. Alice: I had just gotten off from work. As I was driving in the freeway, I saw Michael's car, so I called his girlfriend, Michelle. I asked them where they were heading, and their response was to go eat out. So they invited me. John Paul: They picked me up and made our way to the west side of Delano. We pulled up to this one house. The two leaves the car, and minutes later, walks out of the house. Then came out this girl, a.k.a. my future fiance/wife. She saw me through the windshield, and gave me the "who the f.. is this guy?" look. So I gave her back the same look. Alice: I walked out of the house and as I got closer to the car, I saw this dude in the backseat. I was surprised. I thought it was just going to be the three of us. John Paul: We pulled up to the infamous meeting place (double date you may say?), Tampico. What was my outfit? Dressed comfortably in my sweats because we were suppose "to go visit Jake". Alice: He was dressed like he had no future. I didn't picture him as the man he is now. I saw the complete opposite. Dinner: We ate dinner, and went our separate ways after that. We never really intended to contact each other. Then a few days later... John Paul: One day, I decided to text her and maybe, just maybe, get to know her more. I wasn't thinking of a relationship at the time, nor did a long-term relationship ever cross my mind. Then with texts after texts, she was laughing and enjoying my jokes/flirts. Alice: He texted me in the morning with "Good morning, Sunshine". I went to work that day and he kept texting me. I was smiling and laughing the whole day, and it made me tireless. From that day on, we talked and hung out everyday. The rest was history.
