Alice and Chase’s story began on the courts of the Christ Fellowship Church pickleball group, proving that even attending different campuses couldn’t keep them apart. Chase saw Alice, handed her a paddle, and sent her off to play—nothing like a quick serve to make an impression! Was it love at first sight? Not quite—but let’s just say our roommates heard all about that memorable encounter!

After meeting, Alice quickly became a regular at both pickleball matches and a small game night group—eager for any chance to see Chase. As our friendship grew, we realized the potential for something more. Then, on Easter Day, after dominating as pickleball partners, Chase finally asked Alice out for coffee.

The next six months were a whirlwind of coffee dates, pickleball matches, bike rides, and gym sessions. Along the way, we discovered a God-given joy and selflessness in each other, along with a shared passion for pursuing a life centered on Jesus. It became clear that God had brought us together. Then, on October 12th, Chase surprised Alice with a scavenger hunt, leading her to all the places that marked their journey. The adventure ended with a proposal under Alice’s favorite tree in Palm Beach.

We are deeply grateful for the people who have supported us on this journey. Though this is just the beginning, we’re constantly in awe of the community surrounding us—a group of friends, mentors, and family who enrich our lives in so many ways. We’re thankful to know that, in challenging times, we have a strong network to lean on. We are truly blessed to have a community we can serve with, grow with, and celebrate with. As we look ahead, we are filled with hope and excitement for all the goodness God has in store for us.
