We met through mutual friends during a life teen program night at St. Benedict's Catholic Church when we were in high school. I was a freshman and he was the older sophomore. Even though we were total opposites we just clicked. We complemented and balanced each other. We dated briefly in in 2005 and then started on an adventure that would be our forever in 2006.

An engagement 10 years in the making. In April, Alex and I took a vacation to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Being the nerd that I am, I was desperate to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Little did I know that he had been plotting for months to make the trip even more special. We spent the entire second day in the Wizarding World and Alex spent the entire day dragging me up and down Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. Finally in the middle of the afternoon, we were taking a picture with the conductor in front of the Hogwarts Express and he dropped to one knee. I started crying and shaking and I don't even remember what he said but I said "Yes!" and the rest is history.
