FAQs

Question

What is the most important information to check on my passport?

Answer

Expiration Date: Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date from Italy. If your passport is set to expire sooner, you will need to renew it before traveling. Blank Pages: Make sure your passport has at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps. These rules are strictly enforced, so double-check your passport well in advance to avoid any last-minute issues!

Question

What travel essentials should I bring ?

Answer

A: One of the most important travel essentials for your trip to Italy is a power adapter, as the plugs in Italy are different from those in the U.S. (Type C or Type F). This will ensure you can charge all your electronic devices without any issues. Additionally, it’s a good idea to check whether your electronics are compatible with European voltage (220V). Most modern devices are, but if not, a voltage converter may also be necessary. Comfortable clothing and shoes are also key, as you’ll likely spend time walking on cobblestone streets or exploring the beautiful surroundings. Bringing light layers will help you adapt to Italy’s spring weather, which can vary throughout the day. Finally, don’t forget to keep your travel documents, like your passport and itinerary, readily accessible for a smooth and enjoyable journey.

Question

Can I bring a guest ?

Answer

We truly appreciate you traveling such a far distance to celebrate with us on Lake Como for our intimate ceremony. This day is very special to us, and we want to share it with our nearest and dearest friends and family. For this reason, we are keeping the guest list very limited. If a plus-one has been added to your reservation, please consult with the Bride to confirm which events they are allowed to attend. That said, if you’d like to bring a guest on your vacation, we absolutely want you to enjoy your stay! Please keep in mind that on the day of the intimate ceremony, you will be occupied from morning until 10:30 PM. Lake Como is a stunning destination with much to explore, and your guest will have plenty to enjoy during that time. Thank you for your understanding and for being a part of our special celebration!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is Black Tie Event. Gentlemen, please wear ties—NO BOW TIES as the groom will be wearing one. A classic black suit is preferred to complement the formal atmosphere of our celebration. Ladies, if you’re part of the bridal party, you will have your assigned bridesmaid dresses. For all other guests, we encourage elegant evening wear that aligns with the black tie theme.

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

FTK!!!! We want you to have the best experience possible, and this time is for you to relax and make memories without the distractions of daily life.

Question

What is the weather like this time of year?

Answer

April in Lake Como marks the beginning of spring, and the weather can be quite mild and beautiful, though it can vary throughout the month. You can expect daytime temperatures to range between 54°F to 64°F, with cooler evenings. There may still be some occasional rain showers, so it's a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater, along with layers that you can adjust as needed. The scenery is stunning, with the surrounding hills starting to bloom, making it a perfect time to enjoy the beauty of the area!

Question

How do we get to the venue from Milan (MXP)

Answer

Private Transfer: The easiest and most comfortable way is to book a private transfer. A direct transfer will take around 1.5 hours and cost between $140 to $200, depending on the vehicle type and provider. You can pre-book a transfer with services like Airport Taxi Transfers or Welcome Pickups. Train and Taxi: Train to Varenna-Esino Station: From Malpensa Airport, take a train to Milan Central Station (about 40 minutes), then transfer to a train heading to Varenna-Esino Station (about 1 hour). Taxi from Varenna-Esino Station: From the Varenna-Esino station, a taxi will take you to Relais Villa Vittoria, which is approximately 15 minutes away. The combined train and taxi cost would likely be cheaper ($10-$22) than a private transfer, but it requires a bit more coordination. You can purchase your train ticket in advance on Trainitalia website or app. For a smooth and stress-free arrival, I recommend booking a private transfer in advance or taking the train if you're comfortable with public transport! Let me know if you need more info or recommendations!

Question

Can I take a photo during the ceremony?

Answer

While we absolutely don’t mind if you take pictures, we kindly request that the ceremony be a completely unplugged experience. We want our guests to be present with us and fully immersed in the moment. Feel free to take all the pictures and capture as many moments as you'd like during the dinner and of course your stay, just as long as they don’t include our intimate ceremony. We will have professional photographers and videographers capturing all the special moments, so you can relax and enjoy the ceremony without worrying about getting the perfect shot. We also ask that you do not post any pictures or information on social media that suggests we’ve officially gotten married. We plan to make the announcement ourselves after receiving all the footage in a few months following the ceremony. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us preserve this intimate moment!

Question

What happens if I RSVP and do not show?

Answer

It would be very unfortunate if you RSVP and don’t show up, as we’ve already given our venue the final guest count based on everyone’s verbal agreement to attend. This is a small, intimate celebration, and we’ve spent a lot of time and effort planning it to ensure our closest friends and family can join us. We hope that everyone who has confirmed their attendance will be there to help us celebrate this special day. If for any reason you’re unable to attend after RSVPing, we kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible so we can make any necessary adjustments.

Question

What are the dates I have to be there ?

Answer

We’ll be arriving in Lake Como on April 17th, 2025, and staying until April 21st, the day after the wedding. Afterward, we’ll be heading to another town in Lake Como for an additional 3 days, totaling 7 days. We would love for everyone to be there by April 18th to ensure you have enough time for travel. If you try to leave the day before the ceremony, it’s likely you won’t arrive in time. Therefore, we’d like everyone to be present from April 18th to 21st — these 3 days are especially important for us to celebrate together. If you’d like to extend your stay and enjoy more of Lake Como, we completely understand and hope you enjoy your extended vacation!
