We're Getting Married!!!

Our story began in the most unexpected way — with a 30-minute lunch break at work. At the time, I worked security inside the hotel while Abraham worked outside at the hotel’s “Fall on the Farm” event as the tractor driver. I was still new to security and very nervous when I was asked to cover another officer’s lunch break out at the farm. The moment I arrived, Abraham and I locked eyes, and it honestly felt like something out of a movie. We instantly felt drawn to each other. At first, I was shy, but his goofy personality and kind heart made it impossible not to smile around him. Since he was still learning English at the time, his expressive hand gestures somehow made me understand him even more. After that day, I couldn’t stop thinking about him. The farm event happened every weekend throughout November, and somehow I always found myself volunteering to cover lunches out there just to see him again. As the event was coming to an end, I did something I had never done before — I gave him my phone number. When he texted me the next day, my heart was racing. Soon after, we went on our first date to a Brazilian pizza restaurant, and the rest truly felt like fate. What started with one nervous lunch break turned into years of love, laughter, growth, and choosing each other over and over again. Now, surrounded by the people we love most, we cannot wait to begin this next chapter together as husband and wife. En ese momento, yo trabajaba en seguridad dentro del hotel mientras Abraham trabajaba afuera en el evento “Fall on the Farm” como conductor del tractor. Yo todavía era nueva en seguridad y estaba muy nerviosa cuando me pidieron cubrir el almuerzo de otro oficial en la granja. En el momento en que llegué, Abraham y yo cruzamos miradas, y honestamente se sintió como algo sacado de una película. Sentimos una conexión instantánea. Al principio yo era muy tímida, pero su personalidad divertida y su buen corazón hacían imposible no sonreír a su lado. Como todavía estaba aprendiendo inglés en ese entonces, sus expresiones y la manera en que usaba las manos para comunicarse de alguna forma me hacían entenderlo aún más. Después de ese día, no podía dejar de pensar en él. El evento de la granja se hacía todos los fines de semana durante noviembre, y de alguna manera siempre terminaba ofreciéndome para cubrir almuerzos allá solo para verlo otra vez. Cuando el evento ya estaba por terminar, hice algo que nunca había hecho antes: darle mi número de teléfono. Cuando me escribió al día siguiente, mi corazón latía rapidísimo. Poco después tuvimos nuestra primera cita en un restaurante de pizza brasileña, y el resto realmente se sintió como destino. Lo que comenzó con un almuerzo nervioso de 30 minutos se convirtió en años de amor, risas, crecimiento y de escogernos el uno al otro una y otra vez. Ahora, rodeados de las personas que más amamos, no podemos esperar para comenzar este próximo capítulo juntos como esposo y esposa.
