Ali and Zack met in Flagstaff, Arizona, in the cinders on a camping trip with friends. Ali was there with her best friend, Bailey Yarbrough, sitting around the fire when Zack showed up with mutual friends. From the moment they met, there was an undeniable spark (and maybe a little bit of flirting that everyone noticed). Zack swears Ali followed him around for the rest of the night, she’ll neither confirm nor deny that claim. Let’s just say… she didn’t not enjoy his company. Zack hadn’t planned on coming back the next day, but when he heard that Ali would still be there, suddenly the cinders were calling his name again. That same night, with a little help from mutual friend and wing man Austin Monette, Zack got Ali’s Snapchat, because in true 2020s fashion, that’s how all great modern love stories begin. Zack and Ali continued to talk every day after that. Their first date was at Ali’s favorite wine bar, FLG Terroir, where Zack decided to teach her how to play chess. One glass of wine and a few strategic moves later, the rest was history. After nearly seven months of “just friends” and more than a few people wondering when Zack was going to make it official, he finally asked Ali to be his girlfriend on August 24th, 2023. Since then, they’ve gotten engaged on January 1st 2025, tackled new careers, a home renovation, and welcomed their sweetest adventure yet, their baby boy.
