Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart Psalms 37:4 Born 10 days apart, the son of Wali and Aishah Muhammad and Daughter of Syreeta and Torrance Muhammad, Ali and Takiyah met at Muhammad Mosque #27 at the tender age of 9. However, it wasn’t until the age of 12 that their story truly began. When they both started attending Educating Young Minds School, Ali was excited to go to school with the girl he thought was cute at the mosque, lol. They developed an even closer bond when Ali’s father, Bro Wali (may Allah be pleased), began giving Takiyah and her sister (Harmoni) rides home from school. Takiyah was secretly excited to be getting picked up by the smart, quiet brother from the mosque. Fast forward 7 years, and all it took was one 3-hour conversation about life and the Teachings at the age of 19 for the seed that had been planted to take root. Although Ali and Takiyah didn’t spend too much time together as adults, and they never spoke of any interest in one another, there was a strong gravitational pull between them. So much so that whenever they were together, it was evident and almost undeniable to everyone else in their presence. You would have thought they'd noticed too, but no... It wasn't time yet! Allah's timing is so beautiful, and we now have the opportunity to experience duty in the form of love.
