A great place to wander, visit museums, or have a picnic! If visiting on a Saturday or Sunday between 12-4 p.m., check out the House of Palestine!
We really recommend going on a hike here! You will experience great ocean views, hike through unique geological formations, hike on an antique version of the Pacific Coast Highway, and of course, get see the Torrey Pine. The Torrey Pine is the rarest pine tree in the United States and is an endangered species. You can only see them here and on the Channel Islands.
Our favorite spot to catch the sunset and go on walks.
Come here for a walk, to eat some gelato and meet the sea lions.
The Little Italy farmers market is open on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm, and the Hillcrest farmers market is open from 9am to 2pm. Buy local produce, fresh flowers, crafts and more. Also a great place to get breakfast or lunch. Find more farmers markets here: https://www.sandiego.org/explore/things-to-do/shopping/san-diego-farmers-markets.aspx
One of the largest zoos in the world. Say hi to the lions and bears!
One of our favorite taco shops. We also recommend: City Tacos and Oscar's Mexican Seafood. With that said, there are taco shops on every corner so we encourage you to explore (but maybe check Yelp reviews first).
One of Nadine's favorite coffee shops. Nadine also recommends: James Coffee, Bird Rock Coffee, Communal Coffee, Mostra Coffee, Dark Horse Coffee Roasters, Holsem Coffee, and Finjan.
Enjoy sustainably-caught seafood off of the waters of San Diego. For more seafood options, we recommend: Point Loma Seafoods, El Pescador Fish Market, and the Fishery.
