Josh and Ali met for the first time in an elevator at Daytons finest- Holiday Inn Express! On the short ride up to the 4th floor, they discovered two things. First, they were each other’s newest coworker and second, they went to rival colleges. Fortunately for their love story, fate brought them back together in Cleveland after a series of flat tires, a sick dog and long drives. Once in Cleveland, they met up for dinner at a Mexican restaurant. Josh was so flustered he kept accidentally putting his hand in the dollop of sour cream on his plate, which became a running joke in their relationship. It was after the three days in Cleveland working together, that their connection started to blossom. The people around them began to recognize it before they did themselves. Their worlds continued to collide as they went to Cedar Point with some of their closest friends that following weekend. Ali’s Apple Watch was measuring her heart rate off the charts that day. Josh thought it was just from the adrenaline rush from the roller coasters, but in reality Ali was just nervous to be around Josh outside of work. From that day on they spent every weekend traveling 3 hours each way to see each other and every work trip pretending to be just friends. Their love only continued to grow through new jobs, apartments and additions to the family (Kevin)! The next chapter begins just down the street from their first apartment. With a few friends, a ring, and a coincidental photographer, they went from dating to engaged.
