Question

What is the venue called and where is it?

Answer

The venue is called Camp Hidden Valley at Deer Creek Preserve. If you google it, it should come up under either name - they are the same place, do not be confused. The address is below: 4722 Mellow Rd White Hall, MD 21161 The website: https://deercreekpreserve.com/

Question

What is the dress code for Saturday?

Answer

Dressy casual! Have fun: COLORFUL. FUN. WHIMSICAL. Prep for rain. Sensible footwear, stiletto heels discouraged! We'll all be under a tent for most of the time, but for bathrooms and other fun activities there is the possibility of being in the rain for a bit. No jeans please. History tells us that the weather on this day in Maryland will have a high temp of 65-70 with a low of 55. Average of about 60. For the majority of the wedding we will be outside and under some kind of covering. Bring layers. For the men - Suits are not required, but pants are (also no jeans please).

Question

What happens if rain is in the forecast?

Answer

The show must go on! We have some adjustments for rain, but please bring a rain jacket and wear sensible shoes. If it is not a hurricane, there are elements of the party that we would like to remain outside.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

No, this is an adults only weekend. We would love to celebrate with all of the little ones in our lives another time!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

You have a few options. 1. At the camp with us! Spots are limited. Check the 'Camp With Us!' section of our website to see if this is for you. Then check your inbox for our Save The Date from Paperless Post and let us know if you are interested! 2. At an AirBnB or VRBO - there are a few options in the area. These will book up fast so hurry! 3. At one of the closest hotels - we will have a room block shortly, but any hotels in Hunt Valley, MD are great options if you want to look now. 4. For the locals who aren't camping? We will offer a shuttle from the hotel out to camp.

Question

Will transportation be provided to the venue Friday & Saturday?

Answer

YES! A note for hotel guests and locals - Ubers/Lyfts are easy enough to get to the venue, however the venue told us that getting pick ups from the venue at the end of the evening are not reliable. We recommend driving directly to the venue (there is parking) or driving/ubering to the hotel for scheduled transportation. The roads are a bit windy and dark by the camp.
