"Make them out of sugar, spice, and everything nice," said yet another who was talking about an entirely unrelated subject—either fictional cartoon heroines or a recipe to the perfect gingerbread man. Hey, maybe there was something in that too! Searching for your life partner isn't easy. The process can take a lot from you—things like time, energy, and a $19.99 monthly subscription to Muzz. But the end result, as we all know, is a beautiful one! Yes, an App Store download ultimately brought us together, a feat that would not have been possible without digital help. Two individuals from opposite coasts of the U.S., with entirely different life journeys, got a chance to talk. When that happened, it set in motion an absolutely perfect chain of events! We bridged our long distance with late-night, multi-hour phone calls, creative care packages, online games (note: we might get a little too competitive in chess), and, of course, the 6-hour redeye flights from one coast to the other. Our togetherness in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware made the small town feel like a second home despite it being new for both of us. We had no trouble finding fresh memories, joys, and comforts around every corner. Rehoboth Beach will always be the place where the rosy sunrise and crashing waves had served as a backdrop to Ali's proposal, and where our two, adorable families had later gotten together to celebrate the engagement. Now, the culmination of all of this is not just in front of you, but it includes you too—the wedding of Elsa Tabrez and Ali Ahsan. We are immeasurably grateful for your attendance and support of our long journey! We hope to see you all on our special day, inshallah.
