They met at work in Sept 2018, when Ali was hired as his supervisor. The friendship started thanks to a coworker adding them to a group text she called "the cool kids table". Within their 1st text convo, as Ali quickly learned what a genuinely good man he is, she jokingly said, "Where have you been?" He'd recently gone through a breakup after 5 yrs & she was separated from her husband because of infidelity. Neither of them were looking for each other when they happened to find each other. In fact, at the time, Ali swore to their coworker that she would never date him because she couldn't picture herself with him, even though she knew he liked her. After several months, he offered to take her on a date but she declined, because her heart wasn't ready. Weeks later, she decided she was willing to give things a shot & she accepted his offer. They went on their first date to a movie. Weeks later, while texting 1 night, the question arose whether or not they were in a relationship. Upon evaluating the nature of their interaction, it was decided they were in a relationship & their official anniversary got stamped as 12/3/18. They found themselves still healing the wounds from their previous relationships and they broke up briefly. Through the breakup they remained friends & still spent much of their time together. He was determined to win her back & he did exactly that! She couldn't help but to be completely in love with him & they got back together a month later. Just a 1 ½ weeks after celebrating their 1st anniversary together, he surprised her by getting on 1 knee & asking for her hand in marriage, at their church in front of everyone. There is nothing more important than family to them (especially the family we find, not just the ones we come from) so it was a very magical event that everyone got to be a part of. Now, they look forward to starting their family and fulfilling God's plan for their lives.
