Bacchanal to Braithwaite

On June 20 2017 I saw the future love of my life (Amber La’ Darrion Richards). My dj friend, now family Smithy; called me up to see if I can dj for an Ex’s birthday party. I told him yes of course! It’s my birthday month too so I can celebrate too! That night at the party, I began to hook up my dj controller, and I just randomly look up to see a beautiful light skin female with curly hair by the bar. Now I’m thinking in my head like who is that she fine. As the night progressed I kept looking at this female like I just have to give her a compliment on her beauty before she leaves. Finally party over it’s 5am, lights are on, I realize the female cleaning is her. I walked up to her as she’s sweeping the floor. I grab her hand, she looked up, I introduce my self as “Ali, Smithy lil’ Bredda.” With a beautiful smile she said “I’m Amber nice to meet you.” I just looked at her like, (“yea she deff going to be mine”) idk how but she is lol. “I just wanted to tell you that you look so beautiful” shocked she said “Aww thank you Ali.” I walk off and left her watch me head out. Thinking As I’m driving, “Dang I should’ve got her number, but I knew I would see her again. The 2 weeks later I got a Facebook request & message. My face lit up because I knew we didn’t exchange info, I read her message asking, if I could dj for her 25th birthday party. I said “yea beautiful. The night of the party I walk in to set up the music, looking for her but I didn’t see her. I then see a bright female sitting down talking, I came up behind her to find out it was her Mom lol. I was so embarrass, but as a gentleman I apologized & introduce myself informing her of my interest with her daughter, getting to know my now Mother in law. So finally the birthday beauty walks in looking good as ever. I shouted her out on the mic wishing her a Happy birthday, she approached me gave me hug. That look & smile we gave each other I knew we’re going to build a connection with each other. We both came from very traumatic, unhealthy relationships. We took things very slow, talking & texting on the phone day & night. We shared unspoken secrets, unspoken hurt, the fact that she was a single mother, with a beautiful toddler daughter at the time. I knew, I had to come correct & show her that Azalea & Amber could have security, safety, protection, & more with me (Ali). We built trust & loyalty, with Azalea would soon join in on our phone convos wanting to talk to Mr. Ali begging to meet him. We set a seafood date for Azalea to meet Ali, & that’s all she wrote, both began a bond that heightened our growing fondness into love. Finally November 4th 2017 a hotel party was the beginning of their relationship. They road the wave of love joining as a family, growing cooking skills, DJ, parties, daddy daughter dances, and plenty of growing memories. Until September 4th, 2018 we found out our 3 would grow to 4! Excited they soon got hit with a wave of pregnancy complications. They never let that separate them they grew closer to each other, Amber face very deadly situations during her pregnancy. Their love was even tested in death, As Amber lay dying on the table trying to give birth, she said what they thought was her last words of “I love you, save Adonis, let me go.” Staff was able to stabilize both of them. Welcoming Adonis Lindon Briathwaite in April of 2019! Eight months later, their baby was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma Cancer. This test made them learn how to go through life’s most difficult situation together as a team. We have been through hell & back but nothing never broke us. God has had his hands on this journey before we even got here. In Our hearts we been married but we are solid in our faith & God keeps telling us it’s time as husband & wife, to trust in him & become one in his eyes.
