It feels like forever ago when Tyler and I met through mutual friends. We instantly had lots in common, including the fact that we both are twins. I thought nothing more of him, but he claims it was love at first sight. Eventually, time continued passing and our friendship grew to a new level that shocked us both. Out of nowhere (years in the making) I had a crush on Tyler Hamm. Who would have thought? And so began our love story.
Our entire time together, Tyler has always been good at giving gifts. The proposal was no exception. With the help of some friends, Tyler set up a whole surprise proposal at Iris Book Cafe in OTR, where I thought we were just stopping in for a drink. Knowing I have a love for typewriters he said, "Do you want to check out the typewriter they have for sale?" He led me to the back and opened the door to their courtyard to reveal a gorgeous setup. He dressed a table with beautiful flowers and a typewriter. As we walked up he turned on some twinkly lights, and pointed out the paper in the typewriter. It read, "I love you so much,” which he scrolled up to reveal, "how about we do this forever..." Before I knew it, he was on one knee with the most perfect ring in hand and I knew the question was coming. My smile was so big it was hurting. A little bit shaky and with a smile of his own he asked "Will you marry me?" Dazed with excitement and happiness, all I managed to say was "thank you" ... "oh, yes I'll marry you!" Tyler's proposal was perfectly on trend with himself. It was planned flawlessly with every detail considered and full of thought and consideration. The next best thing will be the wedding itself!
Thank you to all the friends and family who have been there for us and supported us throughout dating! We’re grateful for all the love shown to us, and without it, we wouldn’t be the same. We look forward to having fun with all of you at our wedding, and for the rest of our lives together.
