For any beer geeks out there, this place is a must! They have a ton of special brews, indoor and outdoor seating. And, the food is really good too.
For day hikes and Flatiron views, Chautauqua Park is a Boulder staple. You can make your hike as strenuous as you want -- there are several different trails to choose from. Plus, if you're hungry afterward the Dining Hall on the grounds is great.
Our newest bakery obsession! Try their kouign amann for one of the best pastries you've ever had. And, if you're in town for a longer weekend, they do wood-fired pizzas and live music outdoors on Friday nights.
An exotic selection of teas, great bites to eat and an incredibly beautiful building. The entire building was hand-built in Dushanbe, Tajikistan as a gift to their sister city, Boulder, then shipped over here as a symbol of friendship. Definitely worth at least a peak inside. Plus, if you stand outside and look west, you can see the patio of our wedding venue.
We rarely eat a full meal here, but this is one of our favorite happy hours in town! $1.50 oysters, other small eats and good libations. Happy hour times are: Monday all day, and Tuesday - Sunday from 4-6pm.
Fancy coffee. Delicious pastries. Enough said.
Boulder is home to Celestial Seasonings Tea! Their facilities are located a mere couple miles from where we currently live. Take their free 30 min walking tour, taste some special blends not found in most supermarkets and snag a box or two on your way out.
We love this place! It's a food truck park with a beer, wine and cider bar open for lunch and dinner. They have bags to play, a fireplace and indoor-outdoor seating depending on how the weather is looking.
Awesome pizza and beer with a total Boulder-hippie vibe. Important note: they only accept cash payment, so plan accordingly if you plan on checking this place out!
A gorgeous old hotel and a good place to stop for a quick bite or drink. Fun fact: this was the hotel that inspired Stephen King to write The Shining.
A Colorado classic! Go check out the free brewery tour for a taste of this Rocky Mountain legacy.
We saw the Lumineers here on one of our first dates! Concert season has wrapped in general by October, but Red Rocks is still worth a visit for it's stunning views and hiking trails around the area. And, when you decide that you need to come visit Colorado again for an epic summer concert be sure to say hi!
