Our Story
Orlando and Alia's story began on a construction site - plant roaring in the background, and activity everywhere. Alia was in her final year of studying Civil Engineering, completing vacation training, where she met Orlando, the lead Foreman responsible for the building and structural balance of works.
Each day Alia spent under Orlando's guidance, observing and working "on the grounds" in her career field of choice, two things became very clear - she loved the chaos and excitement of site, and she was extremely drawn to Orlando! When her time onsite ended, Orlando asked Alia out for their first date.
The couple quickly realised it would take extreme courage and commitment to overcome all the challenges they were bound to face. They draw on their deep love for one another to face differences in religion and family, many periods of long distance, integrating their relationship into caring for Zaid together, and more.
They are excited to take this next step of getting married!
