Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see you get dressed up for our special day, and we want you to be feeling and looking your best! For guests that prefer dresses: Please avoid wearing all-white or dresses that are majority white (if you are unsure, don't be afraid to send a picture to the bride!). For guests that prefer suits: You do not need to wear a full tux, but it would be lovely to see you in a jacket and tie! However, if it is too hot out on the wedding day to wear a jacket comfortably, no worries! NOTE: Our ceremony and reception will take place outdoors - there will be a big tent, but please make sure you keep the endless weather possibilities of mid/late June in Ontario in mind when choosing your fabulous outfit! If it is going to be really hot, don't be afraid to bring an outfit change for the reception or for later in the evening, but still keep it classy for the wedding! For our guys who love their shorts, no khaki or denim please!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, your children are welcome and will be included in your invitations! All we ask is that kids be on their best behaviour for the ceremony, we know there's no stopping what happens after dessert.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The wedding will be taking place at the groom's family home in Dunnville. There will be plenty of parking available on the street, but carpooling is always a great idea to make sure we will have enough space for everyone.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We know that a lot of our loved ones have serious food allergies and dietary restrictions, so this is something that we kept in mind while choosing our menu for the reception. There will be a variety of foods to choose from, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Food will be served buffet-style and will be labelled with a full list of ingredients. NOTE: All food will be peanut and nut-free as we have loved ones with severe peanut allergies. Additionally, there will be no pork or pork products in any of the dishes served to accommodate our friends and family who eat Halal/Kosher.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

All guests will be addressed on the invitation that you will receive by mail. If you are a friend of ours and you have a partner whose name wasn't on your save the date, their name will be included on the invitation, so don't worry! We would like to keep our wedding relatively small, and would also like to restrict our guests to friends and family only, so please don't bring any extra guests who were not included in your invite. If there is a genuine mistake once you receive your actual wedding invitation and you think someone important is missing, please reach out to the bride or groom and let us know!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that guests please arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony begins - we want to make sure parking and getting a seat isn't stressful (and we know that after a long drive you'll need to use the bathroom before finding your seat)!

Question

Can I take pictures with my phone?

Answer

Yes and no! During the ceremony, please DO NOT take any pictures or video with your personal cameras or cell phones. We are hiring professional photographers for our wedding and do not want to see anybody's phones or cameras in our pictures. This is something that is very important to us, please be respectful of our wishes! Feel free to take as many pictures as you like once the ceremony has concluded and the cocktail hour/reception begin. Please share them with us afterwards as well! We would love to see the reception through the eyes of our guests.
