Our story began when we met while working together in 2013. Fast forward 6 years later when social media brought the two of us together. We went on our first date in February 2019 at Social 37, in Toms River. We ended up talking for hours enjoying cocktails, truffle fries and of course pizza. Our dating adventure officially began when we were away at our happy place, in the Poconos Mountains. We had a wonderful weekend in the Poconos which included going horseback riding, enjoying brunch at Terra Cottage and Ali caught her first fish in the Lehigh River. We both knew at this moment that this was something special and the rest was history!

We were on a family vacation with the Lazzaras and Gilberts in Porto, Portugal. The trip started out with a little drama, when our flight was canceled. We found out later that morning that the only way we could get to Porto was to fly to Germany the next day. Surprisingly the flight to Germany was one of the best flights we have ever been on. Meanwhile, Nick and our parents all knew that he was going to pop the question. On July 10, 2023 we were visiting the Sequeirinha Winery in the Douro Valley where the delicious Port Wine is made. Our day started out with a few minor hiccups with Ali experiencing two wardrobe malfunctions. Her dress ripped when leaving the hotel and her sandals broke while touring the winery. Nick was nervous at the time and asked Ali to look over the valley while he fumbled with his camera bag that had the ring inside. Our love made the day so special, but the most incredible part of the day was having Nanny and the rest of our family with us. Later on, the news was shared that Ali’s parents were home anxiously waiting for the call to hear, “We’re Engaged!” The final cherry on top, was when the owner of the winery was shouting, “Get the Port! Get the Port!" She shared that we were the first couple to get engaged at their winery. And just like that, Nick pulled off an amazing proposal. Portugal will always have a very special place in our hearts. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at the farm in June!
