Will there be any events aside from the wedding?

Answer

Friday - We'll be stopping at Threes Brewing (Gowanus location) - 333 DOUGLASS ST. BROOKLYN, NY for a drink around 7:30 pm before we head to bed early! Out of towners or locals, come by! https://www.threesbrewing.com/pages/gowanus Sunday - TBD. We're looking for a place to meet up and say bye/hi in the afternoon. Check back soon!

I've never been to NYC. How do I get around the city?

Answer

-Uber & Lyft are great for car rides. Affordable & plentiful. -Green Cabs in Brooklyn & the classic Yellow cabs in Manhattan -The subway (MTA) is cheap and great for going longer distances - use the MTA app on your phone or find yourself a paper MTA map in any subway station. -Use the "Google Maps" app for step-by-step directions via car, foot, or subway.

Will I find parking in Brooklyn?

Answer

Street parking is usually available (& FREE) in residential neighborhoods (be sure to check parking signs on each street). Also, check with your hotel to pay for parking. Most hotels have parking garages and/or allotted spaces on the street for guests.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

LaGuardia - 30 min taxi / Uber ride. No easy public transport from LGA. JFK - 30-45 min tax / Uber ride. You can also take the shuttle ($5) to the subway ($2.75). Check with airport employee or Google maps directions . Newark, NJ - This is the furthest from Brooklyn but if you're coming from Toronto, Porter Airlines only flies into Newark. You can take the shuttle train to Penn Station and either take the subway or taxi from there. Check Google maps for directions.
