When It All Began

We were invited to go out with mutual friends to see a band called Pinback. We all arrived at the show and needless- to- say since bands were playing it was hard to hold conversations over the music. As time passed the four of us started to sing, drink, and dance. Later in the night Kyle and Ali exchanged numbers. A couple days later Kyle asked Ali to go to Stony Creek for a discing adventure. While there, they made up for lost time and end up talking A LOT. They watch the sunset on Kyle's red pick-up truck until it becomes dark. They were so intrigued by each others stories they did not realize how late it was. Eventually they got kicked out of the park. The two of them continued the night by watching a movie. And they cuddled and kissed. And a few days later as Ali walked Kyle out of the house, he asked her to be his girlfriend. That was four years ago!!

The Proposal

St. Patricks Day Is A Good Excuse To Celebrate

As most of you know, we have a cat (mango) we adopted upon moving to Maryland. She is our joy. Knowing this Kyle decided he wanted to incorporate Mango in the proposal. He left work one day and picked up a new collar / nametag for Mango. It read "Mr. & Mrs. Skerbe." He knew Ali would think it was perfectly simple. Kyle decided he was proposing on St. Patricks Day 2017. Little did he know that the proposal would not go according to planned all because of a bell. Once Kyle woke up Ali followed shortly after. When Kyle pulled out the collar the bell jingled. Ali casually came into the bedroom where Kyle had been. She was thinking it was Mango's toy. This time it was not Mango's toy, it was Kyle acting strangely and caught off guard. She asked "Where is Mango I heard her bell toy?' He then told her "I wanted to do this a little differently but here." He handed her the collar she read it and cried and then he cried and they fumbled through speaking with cries, shaking, and dancing! Similar to their first date. HE WAS RIGHT, IT WAS PERFECTLY SIMPLE!
