Some years ago, Alfredo decided to enter a language contest online in which he recorded a short video speaking Persian. He ended up winning a prize because of that video, but he never expected to get something more valuable than that; his future wife. Sara was very happy that Alfredo was interested in her language and culture, so she sent him a message. They started as friends just talking from time to time, but with time it grew into a beautiful relationship.

Alfredo knew in his heart that he wanted to be with Sara, so he asked Sara's mother for permission to marry her to which she accepted. So in Christmas of 2017, Sara came to Houston to spend time with his family. During that time, Alfredo put her engagement ring in the bottom of her Christmas present. When it came time to open the presents, Alfredo waited until the last moment to give Sara her present. It was the heaviest box that Alfredo had ever carried, his heart was beating, he was nervous, but he was very excited and happy. When Sara opened her present, she realized that there was something extra in the bottom of the box. A little black box... Her eyes opened big and wide, she looked at Alfredo like she wanted to ask him if this was what she thought it was. Alfredo told her, go ahead and open it. When she opened the box, Alfredo asked Sara if she will marry him. She said yes! And a room full of happy and teary eyed family members welcomed Sara to the family.
