Ariel and Nora (Vivi) met in 2011 on the USC Women’s Ice Hockey team (Fight On!). Their friendship sparked on a night out in Vancouver during a tournament when they realized that they could both speak Spanish. Their friendship continued to grow with line-dancing nights, heartbreaks, Vegas trips, sailing in Tonga, and never failing to be there for each other. Nora introduced Ariel to her family in Pasadena during their time in college, and Ariel has considered them her LA family ever since. Ariel met Alfredo for the first time on a trip to Roatan, Honduras. She immediately saw how happy he made Vivi, and she can’t wait for all of the wedding festivities!

I first met this curly headed gentleman when my mom remarried his father. At first we didn't get along but we bonded through various activities such as making homemade bunk beds, shooting crossbows & sleepwalking. Alfredo & I became especially close after his 19th birthday, when he convinced me it would be a good idea to stay awake a full 24 hours before going to open Jersey Mike's. In spite of this horrific experience, we spent pretty much every day together for the next two years. When I first met Nora, I immediately knew I had found someone who I could share Alfredo with for the rest of our lives. I enjoy playing the flute, piling on Nora and Alfredo's couch, and watching cops. My favorite memory with them is anytime I get to see them because every adventure is better than the last.

Cooking for friends and family while jamming out, traveling, walking her dogs and tailgating are among her favorite things to do. As Mom to Vivi's godson Santiago, Paula has taken up yoga and swimming. She has memories of Vivi from taking her first steps at Rubens soccer game to having an epic 21st birthday Vegas adventure where she declared "Damn I look good!" in front of a mirror. One of her favorite memories with the groom is day drinking and watching the USA soccer team at an outdoor watch party. Being significantly taller than her, Alfredo made an effort to find a place in the crowd so she could see. His kindness and friendliness are among the many reasons Paula is excited to welcome Alfredo to the family.

Ruben and Alfredo aka Fast Freddy first met when Alfredo was putting his best foot forward in making a positive impression on Nora’s family. As the older brother, I was skeptical and analyzed Alfredo’s every move. As much as I wanted to be the big brother and scare off Alfredo, I knew they truly made each other happy... (plus he’s got me by 5 inches). Over the last couple of years I’ve been happy to see their happiness continue to grow. Selfishly, I’ve always wanted a brother and am happy to call Alfredo that. Favorite memory is watching his horrible golf swing try and improve. Actually, watching game 2 of the World Series was pretty cool too. Cheers

My favorite memory with the Bride was on our first family vacation to Honduras where we drank by the beach and lounged by the pool. We clicked the very first night we met, when we quoted the same line from Grease at the exact same time. Nora has been a big sister to me ever since the beginning of her relationship with my brother, and she is someone I go to if I ever need advice. I knew my brother had found someone that changed his life for the better the day he told me he was going to make it official with the girl he was dating. The look in his eyes, and the way he spoke about her hasn't left since. I can't wait to finally be sisters with Nora and I can't thank her enough for loving my brother just as much as he loves her!

Johnny and Alfredo met through mutual friends in college. Johnnys favorite memory is actually from Alfredo and Nora's first date. Alfredo's car battery died while waiting to pick Nora up for their first date. Johnny came to the rescue and helped to jump start his car so Alfredo could pick her up and go to the date that started their love story.

Lauren met Nora in 2008 on the 1st day of college. They stayed up all night talking & have been BFFs ever since. They share many memories; endless parties, concerts, skydiving & nights in South Pas eating at the taco truck. One of her favorite memories is on a trip to Hawaii; the girls were talking about riptides. Nora interrupted the conversion & said, “Sorry to be ignorant BUT what’s a riptide?” She exclusively refers to Nora as “baby” in a high pitched tone & can't wait to be standing by her side on her wedding day. In her spare time, she travels to far away places & is a self-proclaimed Instagram influencer. When not traveling, she enjoys relaxing with some Chipotle, Snapple Peach tea & watching TV(no sitcoms). She loves cats & hopes to have a family of cats to call her own someday.

Alfredo and Sean met at a CVS parking lot, the night of a high school dance. Their sense of humor is what brought them close, and what has kept them friends through the years. Sean enjoys a strong cocktail while reading a good book. His favorite memory with the Bride and Groom is going to the Luke Bryan concert last year.

Kristen met Nora through mutual friends during a Biology class they had together at USC. They would often hang out studying and partying together. They once spontaneously decided to have a girls Vegas trip where they screamed their lungs out for their favorite DJ, Calvin Harris. It wasn't until they became roommates that they really got to know each other. Kristen’s fondest memory with Nora was spending time at their apartment, listening to Nora’s vinyl’s, eating Chick Fil A, and watching their favorite shows on Netflix, before the term "Netflix and Chill" was a thing. They would memorize the theme songs to the shows they binge watched and sang along for every episode. Their personal favorite was "Little boxes on the hillside, little boxes made of ticky tackies" from the show “Weeds”

Jon met Alfredo back in 2005 playing basketball at a local park where they grew up. He claimed to be at the skill level of a smaller Tim Duncan; which is up for debate. They later went on to play club volleyball together in High School, and after countless volleyball tournaments, beach days and shenanigans in Santa Barbara, their friendship is still going, 12 years strong and continuing to grow. On Jon's spare time, he spends his time working out at CrossFit.

Ysatis and Vivi met because their Mom's became friends when they were young. They immediately became good friends and they grew up together. Ysatis enjoys working out, reading, drinking wine on the couch, and catching up on her favorite TV shows. Her favorite memory shared with the Bride was having sleepovers during their childhood; eating junk food and watching chick flicks like the movie "Now and Then".

Kyles favorite hobby is hiking and going to concerts. His favorite memory with the Groom would be pledging and becoming Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity brothers during their time at San Diego State University.

Jaclyn likes to spend her spare time doing Yoga. Her favorite memory with the Bride and Groom is a day spent at the San Diego Zoo followed by a picnic and ended with beers at their favorite Brewery, Ballast Point, in Little Italy!

Ryan and Alfredo met in 2014 while both working at Enterprise. Ryan enjoys cooking; especially BBQing. Ryan's favorite memory is driving recklessly around LA in a Volkswagen GTI; making Alfredo fear for his life!

I was born as a biracial child that developed a love for the finer things in life. I love long walks on the beach, and a nice Pinot Noir every now and again. An avid artist and connoisseur of classical music. Amidst all the struggles of a young minority, I have exceeded past social norms and ended up with wonderful friends like Alfredo and Nora.

Lauren enjoys reading, painting, exercising and hanging out with her dog. Her fondest memory with the Bride is when she introduced her to music like Blink 182 and The Foo Fighters. Lauren still remembers the first time she listened to the song "I Miss You" by Blink 182... which is still one of her favorite songs to this day.

Izzy moved to ventura after attending Humboldt State with Austin. Alfredo was one of the first Ventura natives he met, showing him that not everyone from Ventura was grimey. His hobbies include surfing, cycling, and anything outdoors. His favorite memory was bonding over a mutual hatred for their boss who consistently called Izzy the wrong name before eventually settling on Bert and Ernie for the pair.

Jenna first met the groom through Alfonso. The first time she met Alfredo she ordered them burgers from In-N-Out but discovered that he despised mustard! Despite this misunderstanding, they bonded afterwards & became best friends. They've shared great memories from birthdays, Vegas trips & marathons of Law and Order SVU! She met the bride on NYE 2013. She & Nora discovered their unique taste for Kraken rum. That night when they were walking to a bar, Nora jumped on Alfredo for a piggy back ride, his knees buckled instantly & they both went down. In that exact moment Jenna somehow knew that Nora & Alfredo were made for each other, their relationship was special & that they would be together for a long time. In her spare time Jenna enjoys being active, traveling, and eating delicious foods.

Alfonso likes to pass the time wheeling and dealing Monopoly Deal, playing FIFA, Candy Crushing, playing volleyball, and enjoys long runs on the beach. Alfonso and Alfredo became best friends early in high school when they were 16 and played volleyball together. His favorite memory with the groom is clowning around back and forth from volleyball games and practices.
