Friendship brought us together. Back in 2016, Cynthia served as Maid of Honor in the Hawaii wedding of a dear friend she had grown up with in Atlanta, Georgia. While in Hawaii, Cynthia got to know Al’s sister-in-law, a fellow bridesmaid, and her husband, Al’s brother. The two of them told Al, hard at work in New York City, that they had stumbled across someone he might like to meet. They passed along Cynthia’s number. Al waited more than a month to call, but once he did, that first phone conversation lasted three hours and three minutes. And so our love story began. Our worlds before we met were filled with joy, but also shadowed, at intervals, by doubt and grief. We are each so very grateful to our families and to our stalwart, sterling, life-long friends - for all your love, laughter, and support over these many, many years, through both the best and worst of times. We would not be here without you. We would be honored to have you witness our wedding in person, if possible, or to hold us in your hearts from afar. With deepest thanksgiving, Cynthia & Al
