Covington, GA is known as the Hollywood of the South for a reason! Take a walk around the historic Covington square and see where famous movies were filmed such as Gone with the Wind, Dumplin, The Vampire Diaries, and even the Dukes of Hazzard. You can take a tour of "Mystic Falls" from the vampire diaries or stop by for a coffee and treat from Bread & Butter bakery!
Downtown Social Circle is SMALL but it is full of charm! The town was named in 1826 because travelers described it as a social circle, the town is full of historical homes (such as the Blue Willow Inn) and public parks to explore! There are multiple restaurants downtown such as; Bread & Butter, Tin Plate, Ida Claire, Hot Rod's Diner, Critter's Outdoor pizza, and Willy's Mex Mex Grill and more! There are also a few boutiques / shops!
Take a trip to Stone Mountain Park to explore the park, visit the historical home square (where you can tour historical homes from all over the south - Michaela's Favorite), play a round of golf, or mini-golf, ride the train around the mountain, you can hike up the mountain or you can ride the sky-lift! There are so many activities for all ages here!
