Question

What restrictions apply to travellers entering Panama?

Answer

Visitors from all countries are welcome to visit Panama, with some exceptions such as United Kingdom (read further down). Non-vaccinated travellers or travellers with a partial vaccination scheme (ie. fewer than 3 doses - note the 3 dose should be taken 14+ days prior to traveling) will have to present a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test taken no more than 72 hours prior to their arrival time in Panama test for entry. All travellers will also have fill out an electronic health affidavit BEFORE boarding their flight to Panama. For more information on entry and testing requirements: https://www.tourismpanama.com/plan-your-vacation/advisories/ For access to the electronic health affidavit: https://www.panamadigital.gob.pa/RegistroPacoViajero

Question

Where can I do a PCR or antigen test prior to my return?

Answer

If you are leaving just after the wedding, the simplest would be to book a test with the Buenaventura Hotel (Hotel contact: +507 908 3333) where there is a test centre (Test centre site: https://citas.vidateclab.com// WhatsApp: +507 650 02974) in the lobby. If you are leaving later, check with your hotel for the nearest test centre.

Question

What is the local situation with COVID-19?

Answer

Panama has 80%+ of it's population vaccinated with 2nd doses (Pfizers mostly). Masks are worn indoors in public areas (e.g. Mall, shops, restaurants - except when seated) and outdoors in heavy populated areas. Overall, we think Europeans will find the regulations in Panama to be a bit more strict than currently in France/UK for example, yet bearable.

Question

Is travelling in Panama safe?

Answer

Panama is relatively safe as a country and very welcoming to tourists. Do not forget however that Panama is a developing country with a lot of wealth disparities, so better to remain modest in the streets notably with jewelry.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

RSVPs will happen directly on this website. They have not been opened yet. We will inform you as soon as they are. As this is a multiday event with many logistical components it would be very helpful if you could take the time to answer all questions.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

It's up to you! However keep in mind that the festivities might get a bit loud and go too late for the kids so should you choose to bring your children, we recommend you organize babysitters with hotels for each event.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

We are organising transport both ways between Panama City and Buenaventura Hotel (see details in the TRAVEL section) as well as both ways between Buenaventura Hotel and the Wedding Reception (details to be shared in the welcome packs on location). In Buenaventura, we strongly recommend you stay close to the Buenaventura Hotel for ease of transportation as there aren't any cabs roaming around. Within Pamana City, we recommend Ubers over yellow taxis for ease and safety. Should you prefer to be totally independent and book your own transport, feel free to rent a car or pre-book a private driver, contact us if you need help. If you'd like to hire a private driver for any part of your stay in Panama, email reservas@zkchofer.com or call +50762889090 (contact: Marlene) and mention the Beaufils de la Torre/Robertson Wedding

Question

What's the Weather like?

Answer

February is in the middle of the Panamanian summer. It will be hot but dry and with evening breezes. Average temperatures are around 32°C/90°F highs and 25°C / 77°F lows. Rain is infrequent at that time of the year but cross your fingers as the wedding is outdoors.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Registry link will be live on this website soon.
