Celebration of Unity

Nevin & Alfona first met at IFGF San Francisco as church friends, back in early 2018. We mostly hung out and got to know each other as a group with other young singles. None of us were thinking about dating, let alone becoming husband and wive. Our focus was serving the Lord and building the life that we dream of. But God, who knows our heart brought us together. We love because He loved us first.

Not too long after we agreed to getting to know each other as a couple, the pandemic hit and brought some distance into our relationship. We were 10,000 miles apart with 12 hours of time difference. We didn't know when we would see each other again. They say, most long distance will end the relationship. But for us, it strengthen our love. This wedding is truly a celebration, a joyful unity of two people.

Alfona got her tourist visa temporarily denied, the Covid cases were raising up. Although we wanted to see each other again, we didn't know how to. But God has a different plan for us. Early July, Alfona and her family decided to travel to the US for a few weeks. During this short trip, a lot happened that prolonged Alfona's stay in the US, from flight cancellation, to the engagement!
