Travel Reccomendations

By following these travel recommendations and being prepared for the unique aspects of Costa Rica, you'll be able to fully enjoy the wedding festivities in this beautiful tropical destination. **Traveling while in town.** If you choose to venture away from the resort there are multiple ways to get around town. A Tuktuk will cost about $4USD each way. Many people rent a bike for around $10-$12 a day. There are also ATVs, scooters, and e-bikes that are available for rent. Ranging from $20-60 each with some ATVs being $100 a day. **Weather Warnings:** Costa Rica in May can be quite hot and humid, so make sure to stay hydrated and wear light, breathable clothing. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the strong sun. **Mosquito Protection:** Costa Rica is known for its mosquitos, especially in the rainy season. It's advisable to bring insect repellent with DEET to ward off mosquitos and prevent any bites. Wearing long sleeves and pants in the evenings can also help. **Long Ride from the Airport:** Be prepared for a long journey from the airport to the destination of Puerto Viejo. We working on booking private transportation in advance to avoid any stress upon arrival. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic drive to your final destination.
