Hotel
This is where we will be staying, and where the wedding ceremony and reception will also be held. The hotel has 48 total rooms, which will be blocked off for our guests until two months before the wedding. After that, lodging at Las Rosas will no longer be guaranteed. If Las Rosas isn’t your vibe, (what?!) there are plenty of Airbnbs and hotels in the area.
Flight
If you are flying in from the United States, it is generally cheaper to fly into San Diego. If you are flying in from another country, it is usually cheaper to fly into Tijuana. From SAN, you can take an Uber or the train to the San Ysidro border crossing. From Tijuana, you can take a cab, Uber, or bus to Ensenada. The ABC Tijuana Line terminal has buses departing for downtown Ensenada every hour. From the downtown Ensenada bus terminal, you will need to take a cab or Uber to the hotel. Renting a car at either airport (SAN or TIJ) and driving to Ensenada is the easiest, but most expensive, option. The cheapest and easiest option is to road-trip down to Ensenada in your own vehicle and purchase Mexican auto insurance, which is approximately $60 for a week of coverage. Mexican auto insurance can be purchased in San Ysidro. Google Maps search “Mexican auto insurance” and several agencies will appear. Our go-to is Amigo Mex Insurance next to ARCO, but they are only open Monday–Friday from 9 AM–5 PM.
