Nick, our best man, introduced us when I had a party bus to celebrate my recent college graduation and at the time we didn't think much of it. We both spent our time at Murray Lake that summer at Nick's cottage. As the summer progressed, so did our friendship. That fall we enjoyed each others company and had a few dates, but it wasn't until that winter that we decided to give the whole relationship thing a shot.
Alex was working in Colorado most of the summer in 2017. Even though he was able to come home every few weekends, I decided to head out West for a long weekend to visit Alex for a change. We spent the weekend in Brush, Golden and taking in a concert at Red Rocks. On Sunday morning, Alex surprised me by taking me skydiving when I thought I was meeting a friend who lives in Denver to go hiking. We were supposed to skydive at 10:00, but the pilot called in sick that day. As we waited two hours for a pilot, Alex decided he would jump first, due to the fact there was only one instructor available. I jumped second and as I was floating down, there was a white sign waiting in the field saying "MARRY ME KRISTIN". Once I hit the ground, Alex ran over and got down on one knee. I could only cry and shake my head yes!
