It all began with a tweet—an open search for friendship. One reply turned into months of texting, DMs that never seemed to end, and a few phone calls to make everything feel closer. When we officially met on August 16, 2017, something already felt familiar. By September 9, 2017, we knew we were choosing each other and officially started dating. From that point on, we were inseparable. We spent holidays together, met each other’s families, embracing each other fully. We grew through both lighthearted moments and deep conversations. Through it all, we became each other’s confidantes, safe space and sounding board. Through college and into early adulthood, our relationship continued to flourish. As graduates of North Carolina A&T SU, we turned the page into the next part of our story, moving to Texas, into our first apartment, and into our first chapter of building a home together. That journey led to the life-changing moment of our engagement on July 5, 2024. Now, as we prepare to say “I do” on October 24, 2026, we reflect on nine years of love, growth, prayer, and intention—ready to begin our forever, side by side.
