It was the fall of 2021 and Alex was just getting into his second year at the Camphill School when someone new had joined the classroom. She was sweet, warm, and a bit quiet at first. Alex was welcoming and offered her a tour of the campus, the first of many walks they would share. Fast forward a few months of Alex trying his best to drop subtle hints and their co-workers trying to get them together, it was March when Alex finally approached Rose about getting together on a Friday night for bowling and dinner. To Alex's surprise, she said yes and then tried to invite others to the outing as well (more on that later). They hit it off quickly, both being very competitive in their bowling battle and then sharing about their lives over dinner. It was a pleasant night out followed by a couple more outings when on the third night out together Rose asked Alex this question "Wait...are these dates?" to which a shocked Alex replied "They've been for me the whole time!" (Don't worry, Rose says it was for the best as if she knew Alex was asking her on a date the first time, she would have said no! Thank God for that!) What would follow would be hikes, dinners, playing cards in the mall, sharing each other's journey of their own faith, and slowly growing the love they share. Then after more months of contemplation, on June 2nd 2022 Rose FINALLY said they were official! The next 2 and a half years would be spent laughing, crying, succeeding, failing, and learning more about themselves and how to love each other. Healing from previous experiences and re-learning what love actually was and felt. A relationship that found it's roots in faith, allowing God to work through each other and as partners. On February 15 2025, Alex brought Rose to where they shared their first kiss - Baldwin's Book Barn in West Chester. While reading a book "100 Things To Do Before You Die" Alex put in a note reading "Marry Alexander Trujillo". To which Rose turned around to Alex on one knee and immediately said "Yes!". Now you get to join in on the next chapter of their story, taking part in the sacrament of Holy Matrimony <3
