On a random Saturday afternoon, I received a text from my friend, Nicole, stating "I MET A CUTE BOY". I didn't think much of it, but told her to give him my phone number anyways. Well, two weeks go by and still no text message (I think Nicole took it more personally than I did). Figuring it wasn't meant to be, our friends Nicole and Ethan were on a mission to get us connected. After A LOT of convincing, I ended up at the bar Alex was at. I would love to say he texted me that night but nope, still waited a few days after that! It is true what they say though, good things come to those who wait!

As I was sitting with some friends on a Saturday afternoon, I struck up a conversation with Nicole who was sitting next to me. After a short while I was quickly shown a picture and learned about her "best friend who is really sweet, pretty and could be a good match". The next few days (maybe a week...) went by and this best friend had been on my mind, however it was also one of my more crazy weeks at work. Jump to that next weekend out on the town, my good friend Ethan leaned over and said "guess who is going to stop by?". Seeing my palms-to-the-face reaction, he quickly realized I had yet to get in touch with this "best friend". I may have found it amusing, someone else maybe not so, but a short conversation with this girl and small apology for never sending that original text, followed by a very welcoming text in the short days after, led to a Sunday afternoon first date. Many more dinners, walks, and deep conversations after....the rest...could be called history....
