No! Turns out that’s actually really hard, even though Charlotte did it in like two episodes of Sex in the City.
Formal! It turns out that wedding dress codes are strangely up for interpretation, like Gatsby in AP English. For the sake of clarity, our definition of formal means dresses tea length or longer (a little past knee length), suits with ties, or tuxes.
Yes! At the Renaissance hotel there is a shuttle but there isn’t one from the Residence Inn or Springhill Suites as those are a quick walk from the venue. Shuttles will begin to depart the Renaissance Hotel at 4:50 pm. Please be down in the lobby early to ensure you don't miss the shuttle. While we'll have room for everyone, there are Ubers and Lyfts available in Pittsburgh if you miss the shuttle or prefer to arrive separately.
Yes! We’re registered through Zola. It’s under “Registry” on the menu.
We are not recommending renting a car. If you’re staying at any of the hotels, they are within walking distance of various restaurants and attractions. Ubers/Lyfts are pretty easy to call in Pittsburgh so you shouldn’t have any issues. In addition, if you’re staying at the Renaissance there is a shuttle to the wedding. If you’re staying at the Residence Inn or Springhill Suites they are both 10 minute walks to the venue.
The rumors are true! Yes, there will be a penguin. No, the penguin won’t slide down the aisle. Yes, you can take photos.
Yes! In addition to the penguin there will also be a bird of prey at cocktail hour. During cocktail hour you’ll also be able to explore the various exhibits at The National Aviary — including more penguins! Yes I love penguins — let me live!
Yes! At the Renaissance hotel from about 11:15 to 1:00 am.
Yes! But other things, like Andy Warhol, bridges, and Rachel’s family.
In our mouse-infested apartment on bended knee with enough candles to nearly burn down the place! Honestly not the worst thing that would have happened there. No but really, it was so romantic, and sweet, and we were able to celebrate afterwards, socially distanced, with a small group of friends and family.
No! We upgraded baby!
Hi friends of our parents! Thanks for coming to our website. It’s a convoluted story that involves an open bar, some light party crashing, and shockingly not a dating app.
That’s not a question, but THANK YOU!
