Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress in cocktail or semi-formal attire for a tropical garden party. Aloha formal attire welcome. We recommend comfortable shoes for walking on grass. Please avoid stiletto or thin heels due to uneven and hilly ground (sandals, wedge, or block heels are ideal). Kualoa Ranch is an outdoor venue with some tented and covered areas but it is not enclosed indoors. Weather is variable on the windward side of Oahu with the possibility of rain so please be prepared.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids but due to the nature of our venue we will be having an adults only celebration. Please let us know if you will be traveling with an infant and we will be happy to accommodate.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are looking forward to an intimate celebration with our closest family and friends and have limited the number of guests. Our wedding is by invitation only.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see general hotel recommendations that are listed under the travel section of the website. We are recommending that people plan to stay in Honolulu or the greater Waikiki area for ease of access to transportation and ride share, bike rental, walkable beaches, restaurants, and activities. Alex and Patrick will be staying at the Prince Waikiki Hotel.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know if you have any food allergy or dietary request. We will do our best to accommodate. Menu is in progress but will likely include vegetarian and pescatarian friendly options.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

TBD. Because this is a destination wedding we are trying our best to provide information in advance. Our wedding website will have the most up to date information. We expect to send out wedding invitations approximately 4 months prior to the event and request RSVP ~2-3 months prior via our website. If you know you are planning to join in the adventure, or you aren’t able to make it, please feel free to let us know early so we can provide vendors with a more accurate estimate!

Is there parking for the wedding?

Yes, parking is free and available at Kualoa Ranch.

How do I get to the wedding?

Answer

The wedding is at Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch, located at 49-560 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744. When you turn into the Ranch parking lot KEEP RIGHT at the fork (it is a one-way road) Continue driving through the parking lot up the hill labeled with the sign “Authorized Vehicles Only” to the right (there are usually green ranch buses parked near this road). Please drive very slow, there are lots of tours and foot traffic in the area. Carefully follow this road to the top of the hill, over the Horse Crossing (there are often many ranch guests, vehicles, and horses in this area. Please be mindful of your speed). Follow the road to the top of the hill, veering up the right-hand side to the labeled “Guest Parking” areas. You may park in any of the labeled grassy lots. Walk to the green pavilion to join the party!

Is there transportation?

Answer

Because we have guests staying at various hotels in Waikiki and vacation rentals throughout Oahu, we recommend carpooling and rideshare to the venue. Rideshares like Uber or Lyft and taxis are readily available in Honolulu and can take you throughout the island. After the reception, we will provide transportation from Kualoa Ranch back to a central location in Waikiki. If you are staying outside of Waikiki, you can get a rideshare or taxi to your accommodations from there as rides are readily available in town. IMPORTANT: When you RSVP, please let us know if you would like a seat reserved for return transportation to Waikiki! We will be coordinating transportation based on the number or requested rides. If you plan to drive, we ask that you please have a designated driver for safe transportation. Parking is free and available at the venue.
