Bundle up, and take a nice leisurely stroll through this historic place. While there, also check out Valley Forge National Historical Park's visitor center, which features a museum with immersive exhibits and a film on the history of Valley Forge.
Nolan and Alex lived in Philadelphia for a few months, and here are some of their favorite loops. At Washington Square: Wander Independence National Historical Park, see the Liberty Bell, stroll past Ben Franklin's grave and past Independence Hall. Continue north to Elfreth's Alley -- a picturesque cobblestone street known as the oldest continuously inhabited road in America -- or simply loop back for food and coffee at Le Pain Quotidian. At Rittenhouse Square: Start off at Vibrant Coffee, a hole in the wall but Alex's favorite light roast, or La Colombe (a local fav). Sip as you walk through Rittenhouse square up to Market St and look down at City Hall. Continue to JFK Plaza ("Love Park") to take a famous "Love" sign photo, then continue to Logan Square - stopping in the massive Saint Peter's Basilica. Stop at Victory Brewing Company on the loop back for one of Alex and Nolan's favorite sour beers (Sour Monkey, careful it's 9.5%)
The Philly Art Museum (Rocky Steps) has "pay-what-you-wish" admission every Friday night 5pm–8:45 p.m.
Forget something? The KOP mall is the 3rd largest shopping mall in the US and just 7 minutes from the Embassy Suites. There are tons of restaurants too.
