Where to Stay & Things to Do

We recommend staying in towns close by to Fasano (the closest town to Masseria Salamina). Booking.com is a wonderful resource to find places to stay in Italy. Here you can browse reviews and filter easily by area. If you want to book direct and not through a third party, we recommend sourcing places through Booking.com and then going directly to the property's website to book your stay. Airbnb can be another way to look for places to stay in Puglia. Just ensure you look at reviews to ensure you know what you are getting. Please let us know where you will stay during the wedding so we can relocate the pickup point (currently set for Fasano) if it makes sense for most guests. We've included a few recommendations on places to stay, as well as things to do while you're in the region.

Il Vecchio Frantoio

Bed and Breakfast in Pezze di Grecco, very close to Masseria Salamina

Dimora Donna Lucrezia

Bed and Breakfast in Pezze di Greco, very close to Masseria Salamina

I Pozzetti Agriturismo

A beautiful farm stay on the outskirts of Fasano

Taste the Olive Oil

Puglia supplies Italy with 40% of its olive oil, and is Italy's top olive oil producer. There are millions of olive trees in this region, many of them thousands of years old. We highly recommend participating in a tasting and learning from the locals!

Visit Beautiful Beaches

Puglia has an abundance of stunning beaches you can explore. Typically in Italy, the beaches have beach clubs, where you pay a nominal fee to rent a chair and umbrella and have access to a beachside restaurant and bar.

Parco Nazionale del Gargano

A beautiful area of Puglia, Parco Nazionale del Gargano is worth a visit if you love hiking and taking in beautiful scenery. This is in the northern area of Puglia, so we recommend renting a car from Bari to get here!

Visit the Ancient City of Matera

Matera is just outside of the Puglia region in the region of Bascilicata. It is about a 45 minute drive from Bari and is absolutely worth a visit. This city is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. It has cave dwellings that you can book a stay in for a truly unique experience!
