Peter and I spent most of our middle school years hanging out around the gazebo in Merchantville with all of our friends, talking laughing and being kids. When I think of those days I have nothing but happy memories surrounding that area, with all the people I love. On April 11, 2008 he took me to the patio behind Vincent's pizza, we sat at a table talking and he asked me to be his girlfriend & when we came to meet back up with our friends, everyone was cheering that we were finally officially together. On April 11, 2018 Peter told me we were going out to a nice dinner in the Philly to celebrate the day we first came together, but first he told me he wanted to stop by our spot. As I walked up to the patio I realized what was about to happen, this was moment I have been waiting and wishing for since our first few days together. The winding path leading up to the patio was lined with red rose petals, "falling in love with you" by Elvis poured over a loud speaker in the atmosphere and a hand written sign that read "marry me?" was perfectly placed on the stone shelf that frames the patio. After the proposal we were walking back to the car and I thought it was over. Some of our family & our closest friends were there to cheer and celebrate again. The same moment, recreated 10 years later. This is the most special spot in our town to me, and I have nothing but amazing memories here. This has turned into "our spot" because it has helped create our story together, more than once.
