Never one to sit on the sidelines, Alex has been an active part of planning this special day, offering ideas, support, and lots of encouragement along the way. While not every suggestion made the final cut (looking at you - wedding day soccer match) he is beyond excited to marry the love of his life and celebrate their next chapter!

Sarah Smith

Maid of Honor

“You’re not my sister, and you’re not my friend” was a frequent quote by Lily when she was mad at her sister. Even if they had disagreements, they will always be sisters. Lily wanted to do everything that Sarah did when growing up. Sarah knew her so well that she “knew her brain” better than anyone. She helped Lily play on the varsity soccer team her sophomore year in high school and filled in for 500 freestyle when Lily wasn’t ready.

Brett Walker

Best Man

Brett Walker is the best man, certified trouble maker, and best friend of Alex since 2019, when they met at the Montgomery College volleyball club gathering. It was love at first sight, as they were immediately talking trash about each other’s favorite soccer teams in a heated debate of the first 30 seconds of knowing each other. Alex values and appreciates Brett’s endless support and is so happy he could be by his side.

Toni DeBastiani

Maid of Honor

After meeting for the first time in First grade, Toni and Lily instantly clicked and have been best friends ever since. They were seen together so often many asked if they were related! She works less than 5 minutes away from Lily at Station on Kings and makes a bazillion delicious croissants.

Serena Russell

Best Woman

Serena is Alex’s older sister and Best Woman. As a hairstylist and photographer, she’s never short on creativity, and Alex has spent years volunteering (or being volunteered) as her model for various hair experiments. She is honored to stand beside her little brother as he begins this exciting chapter with Lily.

Maia Chibber

Bridesmaid

Maia and Lily met for the first time when Lily stubbed her toe at the end of their first semester in college and went to the ER. They met because they both were looking for potential roommates for the following years in college.

Oak Naing

Groomsman

Naing Oak is one of Alex’s brothers, groomsmen, best friend, and forever teammate. Oak has been in Alex’s life since Middle School. Both have been on vacation together to the Outer Banks North Carolina, had tons of soccer events together, been crowned champions on our travel soccer team, and argued a lot about anything related to our favorite soccer teams. Alex is so thankful that he can have Oak here today by his side.

Nhi Nguyen

Bridesmaid

Lily first met Nhi at Salisbury University at the club fair, interested in joining the Asian Pacific Islander Club. They became roommates after covid and Lily’s junior year of club. Nhi became Lily’s extended Vietnamese family as she invited Lily to travel to Vietnam. They shopped all through Saigon and traveled on motorbikes. Nhi thought Lily was crazy for holding albino python snakes.
