We actually first met in Las Vegas in 2015 through work! Alex was planning a user conference for the tech company she worked for and Andrew's company was hired to film the event. Andrew actually thought Alex was a man, until he saw her beautiful face at the event for the first time (Andrew's words, not Alex's :)). Because Andrew was the videographer and Alex was the event planner, they worked closely together. Nothing happened at the time, but they crossed paths again when Alex was planning her company's 2017 user conference... where Andrew was, of course, the videographer of choice. And yet again...nothing happened. A year and a series of acquisitions later, Andrew and Alex ended up working for the same organization in 2018. They genuinely enjoyed working on marketing projects together and would chat on Slack all day at work. Ultimately, it was their mutual love of chocolate milk that bonded them. Andrew finally worked up the courage to ask Alex out on a date and the rest is history.
