City Park Farmers Market

City Park Farmers Market

2551 East Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO 80206

Hosted every Saturday morning from 8am - 1pm in front of historic Denver East High School, the City Park Farmers Market is a perfect place to find amazing local food, vendors, and music before the wedding festivities begin.

Cheesman Park

Cheesman Park

Denver, CO

Our favorite place for bike rides and picnics with Montego. Fun fact: the park was built on top of a historic cemetery. Check out the Secret Garden Cafe for coffee, cocktails and appetizers on the park's northside.

History Colorado Center

History Colorado Center

1200 Broadway, Denver, CO 80203

The History Colorado center also happens to be Acoma's place of work! Located just over a mile away from the wedding venues, this museum features beautiful exhibits about Colorado's rich history. Make sure to check out Acoma's newly reimagined exhibit on Lincoln Hills, a nationally significant African American vacation destination located an hour west of Denver!

Meow Wolf Denver's Convergence Station

Meow Wolf Denver's Convergence Station

1338 1st Street, Denver, CO 80204

Part art museum, part intergalactic space station, Meow Wolf Denver is a must-see for those who appreciate the weird and otherworldly. We recommend going in the morning to avoid the crowds.

If you're looking for a place to grab drinks on Thursday / Friday night, this vibey, camping-themed bar has an amazing patio and solid food options.

Dairy Block

Dairy Block

1800 Wazee Street, Denver, CO 80202

Trendy food hall and pedestrian alley for food & shopping.

Cherry Creek Bike Path & Walking Trail

Cherry Creek Bike Path & Walking Trail

Cherry Creek Trail, Denver, CO 80203

The Cherry Creek Trail is separated bike and walking path that accompanies Cherry Creek. If you rent a bike or scooter, you can ride the trail for miles, meandering past murals, waterfalls, and eventually connecting with the Platte River. Even if you don't have access to a bike, it is still a lovely place for a stroll. Bonus points if you spot a rainbow trout.

The Denver Central Market

The Denver Central Market

2669 Larimer Street, Denver, CO 80205

Amazing food hall in a cool historic building near Five Points. The build-your-own breakfast sandwich stand is incredible.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

18300 West Alameda Parkway, Morrison, CO 80465

About 16 miles from downtown Denver, Red Rocks is worth seeing if you can find the time. In addition to the amphitheater (which is open to the public outside of concert hours), there are beautiful trails for those looking for a short hike.

Roxborough State Park

Roxborough State Park

4751 Roxborough Drive, Littleton, CO 80125

A stunning state park on the southside of the Denver metro! Perfect for a short hike.

Chautauqua Park, Boulder

Chautauqua Park, Boulder

9th Street, Boulder, CO 80302

If you are looking for a mountain excursion that is accessible via public transit, Chautauqua Park is a great option! The Flatiron Flyer bus line runs about every 30 minutes from Union Station in Denver to downtown Boulder. We highly recommend checking out the shops and restaurants along Pearl Street if you make the trip to Boulder.

Golden Gate Canyon State Park

Golden Gate Canyon State Park

92 Crawford Gulch Road, Golden, CO 80403

A beautiful state park that's about a 45 minute drive from Denver. It's a lovely spot to take in the fall colors. We really enjoyed the 2.8 mile Raccoon Trail.

Georgetown Loop Railroad

Georgetown Loop Railroad

646 Loop Drive, Georgetown, CO 80444

If you are spending an extra day or two in Denver and rented a car, the Georgetown Loop historic railroad is an incredible way to experience the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Only 50 minutes from downtown Denver, the Georgetown Loop train circles the Georgetown Valley with panoramic views of the mountains. Georgetown is a lovely small town, with great options for grabbing lunch.

Brainard Lake Recreation Area

Brainard Lake Recreation Area

Brainard Lake Road, Ward, CO 80481

Some of our favorite hiking in the Rockies. If you are staying an extra day or two and are looking for some mountain exploration, this is a great option. Parking needs to be reserved in advance on recreation.gov. It's a beautiful hour and a half drive from Denver. Keep an eye out for moose!

Mayflower Gulch Ghost Town

Mayflower Gulch Ghost Town

Colorado 91, Frisco, CO 80443

This 3.1 mile trail leads to an abandoned gold mining outpost that was abandoned in the late 1800's. The golden aspen trees are a sight to behold in October.
