We're Getting Married!

In July 2024, Alex and Kaila were on their annual week-long vacation to Wellfleet in Cape Cod. They spent a full day at the beach (trying not to sunburn) with Alex’s family at Herrings Cove. On the drive back to the Cape house, Alex asked Kaila if she’d come with him to take a quick photo of the sunset before dinner. Kaila, hoping to take a shower before heading out, asked if it was okay to stay at the house—unaware of Alex’s real plan. But Alex insisted it would only take a few minutes, so they both got in the car and drove down the street. When they arrived at the bridge, Alex handed Kaila a small jar labeled “Our Favorite Beach” and asked if she could fill it with sand. Kaila thought it was a little odd—especially since this wasn’t even her favorite beach at the Cape—but went along with it. As she bent down to scoop up the sand, Alex, clearly nervous, asked if she was done. When she stood up, he pulled a ring box out of his camera bag and said: “This isn't our favorite beach... but it’s the place we get engaged.” We’re so excited to have you celebrate with us and be part of our special day!
